As a K-12 and university educator for over 30 years I have enjoyed teaching content, critical thinking and creative applications in the real-world. Science and art classes were the highlight of my K-12 teaching - the more active the experiences the better. Some  of my favorite outdoor adventures have included exploring the geology of the Colorado Rockies, tidepooling near the San Juan Islands, and caving with bats in Belize.

Currently my research interests include Elementary Environmental Science Education and Integrative Strategies. I love integrated learning, creativity, and outdoor education. Currently I serve as assistant professor in the Walla Walla University School of Education and Psychology located in eastern Washington State. I would love to hear from anyone interested in science, integration, and creativity and can be reached at debbie.muthersbaugh@wallawalla.edu.
